There are some products that you just need if you are going to work on a PC everyday. The BenQ ScreenBar Plus e-Reading Lamp is one of those products. Take it from somebody who looks at a PC screen in a relatively dark room for several hours everyday, this Lamp is a winner! Been using it for a few months and have to have it on everyday since it really brightens my whole PC area. In fact, this PC lamp by BenQ encourages me to spend more time because it is much easier on the eyes and even puts me in a better mood. Since dealing with a lot of things at once online can cause a lot of stress, this positive effect can not be understated.

BenQ-ScreenBar-Plus-e-reading-lamp

However, it did not start out that way. Having never used an e-reading lamp and having a busy schedule caused a delay on the product being set up and used. Once set up started, noticed the only real negative I found, which was the length of the cords. Due to the size and the location of my PC and monitor, the lamp is stretched to its maximum and it is not in the center of my monitor as pictured above. Instead, it must reside on the far edge in order to be plugged into my PC’s USB port and to rest the control on my desk. See my PC is so large (call it the Big Rig) that it has to stay on the floor. Otherwise, the cords would be long enough. Thus, it should not be a problem for most people.

Key Features:

  1. The price is $139 which is not a high price considering how it will help you with working and enjoying your computers.

2. The desktop dial enables you to control the amount of the light with auto-dimming and hue adjustment. This is also where you turn the lamp on and off. You simply tap the dial once to do that.

3. You just plug it into the closest USB port to provide power to it. Once you turn it with the dial, you it stay lit as long as the computer is on or you turn it off.

4. No screen glare and dials down eye fatigue by brightening up your whole computer area.

5. Saves you space by sitting on top of your monitor that is already there instead of having to find space for a separate lamp.

GameOgre.com received the best gaming chair last week. This is the second chair from Ewin. While the first chair was red white and black, this chair is full-on black. The seats are also different at least cosmetically as this one has more of a webbed appearance. The first one is from the hero series while the second is from the champion series. Both exude quality, the kind that you would find in a big esports tournament.

pcgamingchair2800x600

Gaming chairs are always needed if you are serious about gaming and plan to spend many hours straight in the chair. Although designed for the enduring comfort of gamers, the two pillows and high back make easy to relax whether gaming, watching a movie, chatting with friends, drinking coffee etc.

In fact, gaming chairs were first designed for racing games such as Need for Speed and Dirt. The concept was for the chairs to make you feel like you were riding in a very sporty car. Furthermore, the chair is very comfortable for people like me who are 6 feet or taller because the back is very high up.

ewingamingchair

Thus, a big “ogre” can sit in this chair all day long playing games or working on the computer and not experience any pain that you would normally expect for sitting that long. This is why you see a lot of chairs like these at the top esports tournaments around the world! Hence, these chairs usually carry a high price tag.

However, to help with the cost on their website, EWin is offering a 15% off discount code (GO) to GameOgre.com visitors!

The NBA 2K series has had some fairly major ups and downs. It’s a series that has promised the ultimate basketball experience for years now, but it never really seems to live up to its own hype. NBA 2K19 is here now, and it manages to get closer to perfection than any other recent entry in the series.  It feels like your running your own real life nba team.

Gameplay

Sports games live and die by their controls, so it’s good that NBA 2K19 remains solid. In fact, calling the controls solid is actually a bit of an understatement – they’re honestly better than they have ever been. Better player movements and tighter playcalling make this year’s iteration as smooth as it has ever been, with more plays succeeding and failing due to skill than to bad controls. It’s exactly what most people want when it comes to a basketball game, and there’s nothing to complain about when it comes to the controls.

A lot of praise needs to be heaped on this year’s AI. Both teammate and opponent AI feel like they’ve gotten some major overhauls, and you’ll find yourself feeling much more like you’re playing a real basketball game than in previous iterations. Bad AI can really tear a game like this apart, so it’s nice to see the game succeed at something that’s so easily overlooked. For once, you’ll get to be part of a unit instead of just depending on the player that you’re controlling to win every game.

Presentation

The NBA 2K series has always looked great, with the latest iterations being closer to life than most would suspect. In fact, this series is really easy to confuse for real basketball, at least until the camera gets too close to the players. This trend continues with 2K19, subtly tweaking some of the animations and the lighting to make an even more fluid experience. Combined with authentic courts and gear, this is as close as most people are ever going to get to coordinating a real NBA roster. What’s even better, though, is that the animations this year actually work.

One of the big flaws with the 2K series has always been how its animations get buggy. This is almost inevitable, of course, but many of those bugs also function as exploits. There’s a lot less of that this year, with most of the animation bugs being little more than amusing one-time incidents. It’d be nice to see a perfect experience, but it’s also understandable that something with so many moving parts is going to have problems from time to time. What’s great, though, is that everything is now so fluid that you can forgive most of the mistakes.

Story and Season

This year’s story is “The Way Back”, and it’s honestly a very fun mode to play through. Much better than last year’s story, this year manages to have a bit of heart while not being unbearably cheesy. This mode isn’t exactly going to win awards for content, but it’s still one of the better sports stories you’re going to see in a game. If you’re willing to give it a chance, you’ll notice some great voice acting and some legitimately compelling moments. While most players aren’t coming to the game for the story, this will give many people a reason to stick around.

While “The Way Back” is definitely an improvement over last year, the same can’t necessarily be said about the game’s other modes. MyCareer is still a slog, and MyGM is still a lot of fun. MyLeague brings in a few novel concepts when it comes to running an entire league, but MyTeam is still absolutely a virtual currency grind. All of these modes are fine, of course, but there’s nothing that stands out. NBA 2K19 definitely continues to coast on what has worked in previous iterations, at least as far as gameplay modes are concerned.

Other Factors

This year’s big selling point is the relaxation of virtual currency. Yes, you’re going to end up being tempted to buy it but it’s no longer a necessity. You can finally get free haircuts and grinding out a player’s stats isn’t impossible. The virtual currency is still annoying when it comes to MyTeam and various other aspects of the game, but it’s not nearly as bad as it has been.

The only other major point to cover is the Neighborhood. Hub worlds rarely pan out for multiplayer games and 2K19 hasn’t solved the problem yet. It’s a great place to look at ways to earn and spend VC, but it’s ultimately an empty experience.

Conclusion

NBA 2K19 is a great game. It’s much better than last year’s effort, largely thanks to improved AI and less VC shilling. There’s still a lot that hasn’t been touched since last year, but the basics of the game are as good as they have ever been.

GameOgre received this top-of-the-line gaming chair from EWin about three weeks or so ago. As you can see by the screenshot, the chair is quite attractive. As you can see, we have the ultra-sharp red and black model. The design is sleek with two pillows that are attached to the chair. You can move these pillows wherever you need to. This allows you to find your comfort level. For example, I am good size Texan at about 6 foot so I put the pillow as high as possible for my neck. The result for me has been quite successful so far whether I am working or using my club-like weapons in the various games that I play regularly.

gamechair

The chair arrived after about a week or so. Despite the fancy appearance, setting up the chair was a breeze. The large pieces do not require much to assemble and the right tools were included. All-in-all, the chair was fully assembled in roughly 30 minutes. With the chair completely set up, I jumped on Steam and started to enjoy it!
spikedclub (43)When not gaming, maintaining the chair is much easier than expected. For example, you can sweat or spill a drop of soft drink and then remove it easily with a little water and microfiber cloth. Thus, don’t freak out if you get a minor spot on this beauty.

Regarding value, the chair’s appearance and high quality features listed below make quite an argument. Good luck in trying to find all those features in your local Walmart. You will mostly find office chairs or maybe game rockers there. To help with the cost on their website, EWin is offering a 15% off discount code (GO) to GameOgre.com visitors.

Review:

Zombasite is made by Soldak Entertainment which is a small indie game company that has produced quite a few games that can be considered hidden gems because they offer depth and features that have been craved for in much more popular games. A good example of this is Din’s Curse, which is a personal favorite of mine. Din’s Curse is unpredictable action RPG and has many features that I wish Diablo had such as villages invasions and more overall depth. Zombasite continues a lot of the gaming goodness from Din’s Curse, but this time the setting is a zombia apocalypse. Of course, this is a first that I have seen for an action RPG setting.

That said, unique and unpredictable are two words that best describe this game. The game world is very dynamic that constantly evolves on its own. Do not be surprised to see fighting when you first load up the game on the menu screen. One of the first things you do in the game is make a character to play and name a faction. This game is not a MMORPG, but you will see quite a bit about other factions and about members of your faction even if you are playing solo. Thus, it does feel like you are playing a MMO online game even though you are really not.

The downside of Zombasite is based around the similarities to Din’s Curse which is considerably older and the fact that the game is not well known yet. Why is that important? It is important because the game has a multiplayer mode despite a very small following. In fact,. I went to livestream the game on Twitch yesterday, but Twitch said they did not support the game. Also, the graphics are not much better than Din’s Curse. Yes, gameplay is more important overall, but it would be great for graphics to evolve as well. Overall, Zombasite is must try for any action RPG fan that can buy a code for it.

Pros:

  1. Low system requirements.
  2. Can make hybrid characters.
  3. Constant random events.
  4. Loot system where the items matter.
  5. The AI is smart you feel like you are playing other players.
  6. Much deeper than other zombie games and action RPGs.
  7. Something is always going on and displayed in text.
  8. NPCs can change how they feel about you based on your actions.
  9. Unique setting for genre.
  10. Passionate developers.
  11. Player stash storage in town.
  12. Great class selection.
  13. Bosses can appear randomly.
  14. Great sound effects.
  15. Grinding is not a problem since it seems like something is going on all the time.
  16. Tells you who the most powerful clain is in the game.
  17. You can play tower defense in town.
  18. Clans can level up.
  19. Can enter secret areas.

Cons:

  1. Graphics could be improved.
  2. Multiplayer needs more people.
  3. Can get overly chaotic at times.
  4. No presence on Twitch.
  5. Has a little too much of Din’s Curse.
  6. Price of $19.99 could prevent players from being able to experience the game.

Review Score:

8/10 Clubs or 4/5 Stars

Game Review:

One Troll Army is definitely a rare game. In addition to the obvious draw for GameOgre with the great name and brilliant concept (Why can’t more developers do this?), the game is well-made and due to a challenge from the developers OTA is actually free. Yes, free as anybody can download from Steam without a paying a nickel. This is definitely one case where you get far more than what you pay for. Simply go to the page on Tiny Build’s site that describes the interesting event. In a nutshell, the developers challenged Twitch chat to beat them as the giant troll which I think looks more like an ogre. If they could win, the game would be free. Well, they won and the game has been free ever since.

onetrollarmytwitch

The game itself is fairly self explanatory as the tutorials help you build the fortress for goblins that you have to defend. You are given some slackers to perform duties such as building, repairs, logging, and looting. As you get more resources, you can build different areas like the walls, town hall, tavern and wall towers. Keep in mind that enemies slowly gather together and attack every so often. You have to maintain your health and the health of the fortress. If either reach 0, the wave has defeated you. After every win, you assign looters to pick up the resources. Managing the goblins is what you mainly do during your “One Ogre” crusade. Ok, I couldn’t resist hehehe. The troll is basically by himself besides the towers. I did recruit an orc merc, but I did not know how to move him at all. He would not join the goblin slackers in chores and he would run inside the fort during every invasion.

If that were not enough, One Troll Army is one of the very few games where Twitch Chat can actually control the armies against you. I just livestreamed the game before posting this article but I was fighting with OBS and had to use monitor capture. However, OTA could still be the perfect game for our Ogre Game Time sessions every week. Besides, if the troll were blue it would look a lot like a bigger HD version of our first GameOgre mascot:).

Game Score:

9 clubs out of 10 (4.5 stars)

Din’s Curse Review

Din’s Curse stands out as one of the best action RPGs ever that you probably never heard of. That is quite a shame since this game is definitely a hidden gem among Action RPGs. The funny thing is that many Action RPGs are considered to be Diablo Clones. Calling Din’s Curse one of those doesnt fit quite so well because it does the little subtle things that most of those other games do not do. Actually, it does a few things that the Diablo series never did.

For one, the dungeons actually feel a part of the game because you never know what is going to happen. I was in a dungeon trying to tape my voice to a video when all of the sudden an alarm starts going off. Come to find out, monsters some time attack the town/village out of the clear blue sky. I went off to find my way back into town and you get a message of certain people in town being killed. For anybody who felt safe in Diablo and spread their loot on the ground in town, this can be somewhat unnerving. You will not feel this overwhelming sense of temporary helplessness in Torchlight, Sacred, Dungeon Siege, Fate etc. This feeling caught me completely by surprise and it shows how special the game can be.

Key Features:

  • Made in 2010.
  • Action RPG.
  • Had one expansion.
  • Loot matters and is quite fun to find.
  • Random events as you play like the village being attacked while you are in a dungeon.
  • Gameplay overshadows the lackluster graphics.
  • Items like crates and stuck doors can be busted open with varying results.
  • Relies on addictive gameplay rather than flashy cutscenes.

Pros:

  1. Plays on nearly all PCs.
  2. Self updating bestiary as you play.
  3. Random events all the time.
  4. Great loot system.
  5. Many areas to explore.
  6. Smarter than usual monsters.
  7. Deeper than most other action RPGs.
  8. More than a Diablo clone.
  9. Traveling is fast and easy.
  10. Places to store loot in town.

Cons:

  1. Not a huge community to support it despite how good it is.
  2. Very basic graphics.
  3. Thought of as a Diablo clone when it is more.

Don’t let the long winded title and the confusing preceding trilogy fool you, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Final Cut is quite possibly the best action RPG since Diablo 3. However, it could take a few pointers from Diablo in terms of simplicity and the simple fact that sometimes less is more. For starters, the game should be called Van Helsing or even Helsing. Anything above that just takes away from the franchise. Don’t believe me? Take a look at Doom, Quake, Halo, and, yes, even Diablo itself. Next order of business would be to remove the previous three titles and make this the first installment of a very good franchise. Instead, this game is free if the own the inferior trilogy. Free games are always nice, but this is undoubtedly the best game of the series and one of the best action RPGs in years.

You will need to log in multiplayer where you experience PvP or co-op, but you can play the story solo offline. After that, this mode is hit or miss. Multiplay is a hit while it actually works and does not crash. The stability or lack there of has been the miss. The other obvious downside is load times. In fact, I would go so far to say that it is has the longest load times I have experienced in a game….ever. It is not only when the game is first installed either. Furthermore, moving along on the map from one to another is also long and tedious.

When the game does finally load, especially in single player, you start to appreciate it much more. Gamers who are not patient may not make it that far though. Those that are patient will be treated to a borderline great action RPG with a rich atmosphere. After you choose one of 6 playable classes, you will get started with a ghost who is your companion and fighting ally. I chose a melee class, of course, and my official name in the game is Ogre Van Helsing. You can see some of my game play in the video below. You can also see some of the eye candy that the environments project. There is quite a bit of detail and some of the outside areas are quite impressive.

Long times aside, I would likely choose this game over every other Action RPG including the two Torchlight games besides the Diablos. The companion, the story, the environments, the game world, deep skill system, special perks, and the heaping amount of game play truly make Van Helsing Final Cut a special ARPG.

Key Features:

  • The final installment.
  • Action RPG.
  • Retails at $44.99 on Steam.
  • Free if you own the trilogy.
  • Has multiplayer modes (PvP and Co-op).
  • Has single player offline mode.
  • Can choose difficulties.
  • Six different playable classes to choose from.
  • Gothic-noir environments.
  • Level cap is 100.
  • Can gear up and get quests in towns.
  • Daily quests and regular events.

Pros:

  1. The best ARPG since Diablo 3.
  2. Ghost companion.
  3. Graphics are very nice.
  4. Environments are not stuck in a dark dungeon.
  5. Voice acting is well done.
  6. Deep game play.
  7. Plethora of skills to choose from.
  8. Plenty of variety.
  9. Massive amounts of loot.
  10. Can teleport between areas instead of just walking.

Cons:

  1. Loads incredibly slow when starting.
  2. You need to login to multiplayer.
  3. Multiplayer has been problematic.
  4. Loads slow between areas.
  5. Should have been one epic game instead of the previous 3.
  6. Name is long enough to confuse potential players.

Comment: Ogre Combat is a neat Ogre killing game, where you are the good ogre, and they’re the bad ones. So you know what you have to do… Club the life out of them. 😀 I love it how you can pick up a spear from the ground and slam it into another guy’s head. Defintively a 10/10 from me. ^^

Comment: Ogre combat is a flash game at gameogre.com. You are controlling an ogre with a club and you fight different ogres with bows, arrows and cubes. Really interesting game easy at begin but later its much harder. The graphic is ok, sound could be better. I rate this game with the note 7/10!

Comment: An interesting game really. U get a club and a spear to defeat your enemies. U can hit the enemies with spear or throw them and u get the club for cracking their heads. 🙂 The higher levels u get the tougher the opponents will be. The goal in each level is to clear/kill all enemies. I really loved the game. The gameplay is really simple, but it’s kinda interesting for me at least. I give it 8/10. Try it guys.

Comment: Ogre combat is a flash game developed by gameogre.com.
Its a fighting game. You need to clear the stage from the bad ogres. You are controlling the big Ogre and you can hit the enemies with stick or throw a spear. Every new level is harder and you need to kill much more enemy ogres. Cool game. I rate this game with 8/10.

Comment: It’s funny game. I was laughing a little here. That what was really funny, it is when I throw spear and kill that ”monsters”… For me that part I will always remember 🙂
By the way, you need to kill some amount of that monsters each level… When you killed them you going to next level.
Now I don’t remember on which level I was arrived, but never mind.
Recommend it …

Comment: Ogre Combat is another game of GameOgre’s ”Ogre Games”. Ogre Combat is a rather simple game, and can be quite fun. From the looks of it, Ogre Combat can be seen as a rather creative game, or a mix of colors in one lump, depending on what kind of person you are.To start things off, Ogre Combat is a 2D flash game, and revolves about nothing other than ogres. You, as the player, control your own green ogre, and is supposed to fight other ogres. Everyone is your enemy, and you can only trust yourself. You have three weapons in disposal. A spear, a club and a spike club. For some reason, it seems that you can’t change your weapon on your own will though, but the ogre chooses to change weapons whenever he feels like it.

There are two game modes in Ogre Combat. Normal mode and survival mode. Normal mode is about the same as a campaign. There are five different levels, that contains of three stages each, with a boss in the last of the three stages. Once you’ve defeated the boss, and passed the three stages of a level, you will proceed to the next level. In survival mode, the goal is simply to survive as long as you can. Fight with all your might and defeat all the waves of the opponents until you fall.

To control the ogre, you can use either the arrow keys or WASD, depending on what you prefer. You attack with either T and Y, or 4 and 5. That’s all that you need to know, in order to play the game. There aren’t any more buttons involved in playing the game.

The biggest problem that I had with Ogre Combat is that there’s no health bar visible. You can see how many lives you got left, before you lose the game, however you can’t see how much health you have before actually losing one of your lives. It would definitely help a lot if I could see how much health I had before losing a life, since I would play a lot more careful when having low health. Another problem is once you’ve pressed “Normal mode”, you can see what stage you’re currently on, but I’m missing a “Back” button. If I change my mind and want to play survival instead, I’ll have to start the game and from there go back to the main menu.

The graphics is probably what I like the most about the game. I’m not sure why, but I find the graphics quite appealing for my taste. Many people would probably not see the graphics as something special, but in my opinion I like it. It might not be very detailed or well-made, but it’s colorful, bright and most important of all, it’s quite wild. A game which includes fighting and a lot of combat naturally shouldn’t have cute or fancy pictures, but rather something crazy, something wild just like Ogre Combat got.

Overall, I do think that Ogre Combat is a neat game. It could definitely be improved, but name a game without any flaws at all? It’s not the best game I’ve seen, but it’s more than enough to entertain for a little while.

Comment: Ogre Combat is a great stress reliever! I can either whack off heads or throw a spear through another Ogre’s throat? I was not bored at all….My only cons are that the ogres are not fat and the big spiked club is just window dressing. I never used it!

Comment: A 2d ogre fighter game, involving a mix of a bit of ogre, and a bit of gore. The goal of this fighter game depends on the game mode chosen. The normal game mode consists of 5 stages with 3 levels each, killing all enemies in a level advances the player to next level of the stage, and finishing all 3 levels gets the player to the next stage. The goal of the game in this game mode is to get through all the stages and levels. On the other hand, there’s the survival game mode which allows the player to play a single level as long as possible, with infinite enemies generating. The goal in this game mode is to get as much kills as possible before ultimately dying. It should be noted that the game does not record high scores at this moment.

In the game, the player controls an ogre character, armed with a spear and a sword. The player can moves the character left and right with A and D keys, or left and right arrow key. Jumping is done with the W key or with the up arrow key, while picking up extra spears and blocking enemy attacks is done with the S key or the down arrow key. Spear and sword are used by pressing the T key or the 4 key, while enemies get kicked by pressing the Y key or the 5 key. Although the game doesn’t say it, there are special combo moves too. Spear is thrown at the enemy (giving the player an instant kill) by moving towards the enemy and pressing the T or 4 key, while the special sword attacks are performed in the exact same manner once the spear is thrown. A special jump attack is performed by pressing W or up arrow and T or 4 at the same time.

There are 3 basic kinds of enemies, that get stronger throughout the stages, and special boss enemies which tend to be normal enemies with special powers. The most basic enemy type is the ogre with a sword, these enemies charge at player mercilessly and might be the most dangerous enemies of all. Another type of enemy is ogre with a bow and arrow, which fires at the player from a distance, and is rather harmless if the player blocks the incoming arrows. Third type of enemy is the ogre with a spear, which performs a melee attack with a spear which has a longer range than a sword. These enemies drop their spears when killed, which can then be picked up by the player.

Sounds in the game are average to good, and if the player dislikes them, they can be turned off at any point, though it should be noted that this is not that likely to happen as none of the sounds are really bad and the music supports the game well, despite its simplicity.

Visually, the game is nicely drawn, and the game area on screen is quite large. The background is well animated, though simple in nature. The player’s character and enemies all look good and well distinctive, and animated good as well. It should be noted that the game gets quite bloody, so much so that there actually is an option to turn off blood effects. Also, the game comes in low, mid and high level of detail, so weaker machines should be able to run it as well

Overall it’s quite a good and challenging game, with difficulty increasing rather well and bosses being hard to beat, but not impossible. The game looks and feels good as well, and do to constant difficulty increasing, it never gets repetitive as well. There are downsides as well, mostly bug related. For example, the player is supposed to have 5 lives both in normal mode on each stage, and in survival mode, but those lives do not work, the game is over after a single death. And deaths themselves come as a surprise as well, as there’s no health indicator, meaning that the player can never be sure how many more hits it can take. The game would also benefit from being able to keep high scores in survival mode, as it could provide quite a competition to the site visitors. If and when these issues get sorted out, the game will receive the highest ratings as well, but for now it just feels like a great game that needs some polishing.

Current rating – 8 out of 10

Sword Coast Legends is a Dungeons and Dragons single and multiplayer co-op that tries to recreate old school table top magic. Also, the game was highly anticipated with the hopes that it could be a modern version of such Dungeon and Dragon classic CRPGs like the Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights series. I for one loved both, but GameOgre once had a dungeon full of NWN modules and other creative stuff. The first one, in particular, was a truly special game.

Does Sword Coast Legends succeed in any of that? Despite high production values and a valiant attempt, SCL falls well short of the mark on both cases unfortunately. Maybe it tries to be too many things at once with the innovative dungeon master feature. However, like the old saying goes that sums it up fairly well: “A jack of all trades but master of none”.

The very first thing that jumped out at me when playing this game was the combat unfortunately. It seems about as effective as a towel fight in a gym locker room. You start swinging and swinging and swinging some more. In other words, the action comes to a screeching halt before it can even get started. Yes, it follows a D&D rule set, but that does not translate to a computer game well at all. There also is a lack of strategies because of all the cool downs and auto attacks.  Do not expect anything like Diablo gameplay.

The brightest spot of the game by far is due to creative possibilities. Besides the highly touted dungeon master feature where players can try to capture the magic of D&D pen and paper modules where a player guides the action, players also have the power to make their own dungeons. In fact, this creation tool is very simple to learn and use. The simplicity comes at the price of making most dungeons created by players look alike instead of unique. Thus, it is more for players to make their own content, but there isn’t a great need to get dungeons from other players. Hopefully, this gets a major update because it could certainly use one as soon as possible. Overall, this is one game that could use its first update as soon as possible. The potential for a fantasy classic is still here if it can improve these shortcomings sooner rather than later.

Key Features:

  • Launched on October 20th, 2015
  • Forgotten Realms setting.
  • Isometric viewpoint.
  • Xbox One and PS 4 versions will come out next year.
  • Dungeons and Dragons RPG.
  • Dungeon master like in the pen and paper games.
  • Music by the Prague Orchestra.
  • Single player.
  • Multiplayer co-op.
  • Combat based on fifth rule set of Dungeons and Dragons.
  • The ability for users to make dungeons.

Pros:

  1. Forgotten Realms setting works well.
  2. Tries to recreate old school D&D pen and paper play on computer screens.
  3. High production values.
  4. Heaping amount of D&D lore.
  5. Very attractive environments.
  6. Decent plot.
  7. Long gameplay.
  8. Users can create content.

Cons:

  1. Hard to get into.
  2. Hyped heavy.
  3. Not cheap at $39.99.
  4. Bad creation tools.
  5. Unexciting combat.
  6. Very linear gameplay.
  7. User interface can be clunky at times.
