Any clue what this one is based one? Be prepared for a HUGE download with this one (almost 92 MB).

No need in describing what this module is based on.

Final Fantasy 1 – Prologue
Besides the game that it is based on this module is interesting because it is an improvement of another author’s work.

Four Demons
Great looking module with an engrossing storyline. This one definitely deserves a review soon.

Kung Fu Master
One of the few if not the only along with its sequel that is only for weaponless monks.

Kung Fu Master 2
Sequel to the module that tries to be like an old Hong Kong martial arts flick like Shaolin Master Killer.

LOTR: The fellowship of the ring
Don’t get your hopes up too much on this one. It is a solid effort from a first-time author but it is not the module that Tolkien fans have been yearning for.

Penultima Series
Probably the most well known series of NWN modules with a heavy mixture of combat and humor.

Pool of Radiance
Based on the old SSI game of the same name. One of the best modules for developing a character from scratch.

Prophecies of the Dragon
The best NWN module based on Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time fantasy novel series thus far.

Queen of the Demonweb Pits
Based on the classic D&D module of the same name.

Raven
Great way for a group (4 to 6 people) of level 1 characters to get started. Expect a lot of game play here.

Ravenloft – The House of Strahd
Based on the classic D&D module but apparently took the controversial route of going away from the original theme and adding Christianity.

The Green Knight
Quality story that offers several different ways to complete the module.

Tomb of Horrors
Based on the old D&D module with the same name. This is one module that is definitely for higher level characters only.

Also based on one of the old D&D modules.

Game Description and Comments

Maple Story is a free 2D MMORPG with cartoony graphics that looks more like a console platform game than a MMORPG. There are four classes/paths to choose from: Warrior Magician Bowman and Thief. Each class has it’s own special themed city since there are no different races.

The download is quite large at over 200 MB so gamers with 56k modems will have a long wait ahead of them if they want to download Maple Story. You can either download the game in one .exe file or download it multiple parts as an .rar file.

As of this writing Maple Story is ranked #5 in GameOgre’s Review Directory out of all Online Games. However it should be noted that a few reviewers do not like the game’s Cash Shop where you pay real cash cash to get certain items.

Comment: This game is great! Cyndus is right about other players sometimes being really rude but it isn’t hard to get around the curse filter and whining about some noobish players stealing kill drop items is really lame. I’ve seen level 100 players do it. Life isn’t fair and not everyone is mean. I’ve made loads of friends and the game is just fun to play! Unlike some games the clothes show up very well and your class and level changes what you can wear. You can have like 15 files on one account. Plus the game world is HUGE.

Comment: I would have called it an ‘okay’ game but I just got sick of it really quickly. Everyone in the game is a complete (jerk). They steal your kills and your drops all the time. What makes it worse is that the game has a curse filter so you can’t say rude things to them.

The monsters can hurt you just by touching you and they knock you back a few feet. This is particularly annoying since you’re constantly fighting on high ledges and they keep knocking you off making you climb aaaaaall the way back up just to get knocked back down.

Also leveling up takes forever. You need like 600 exp and all the monsters give 4-15 exp. I was killing slugs for hours upon hours.

Rift is shaping up to be one of the top MMORPG’s of 2011 if not one of the greatest ever. Although we have heard it many times before once again many claim RIFT will be the WoW Killer. RIFT features stunning graphics and immersive rift events where monsters and bosses pour out of random live rifts in the world. Players will have to team together to destroy the rift and many of the mobs coming out of it. RIFT didnt reinvent the wheel with this game and while you play you will notice many hints and flavors of other games that have come before. What sets RIFT apart is that it took aspects from other games and gave them a shiny new polish and smoothness which made them better. Making RIFT a well oiled machine most people can pick up and enjoy.

We will see “classical” contents (such as great variety of quests mobs dungeons and a lot of breathtaking visuals and suggestive pieces of fantasy setting) together with tasty innovations whose flavor is going to keep us stuck to the screen for a very long time…

Rift has amazing graphics inspiring music and a deatailed lore and story to help player’s immersion in the world of Telara.

Telara is a contended world located in a particular nexus between six dimensional planes whose dwellers (fomented by the Blood Storm the evil dragon gods) are eager to invade and ravage it; two factions (each including three races) with different looks and ways of life but sharing the same purpose of saving Telara from its planar doom rise againist the invasions: the Guardians and the Defiant.
The Guardians (including the Mathosians the Dwarves and the High Elves) stand fiercely as a wall between invading forces and the world: bound to their faith in the Vigil the good gods of Telara they defend the land by the means of honor valor and bravery. The Defiants (including the Bahmi the Eth and the Kelari) blame the gods and their indifference for the ongoing disaster and plan to save the world on their own relying on magics and technology they have created and developed by themselves.

The first most important innovation brought by Rift is the dynamic world: while rifts open in the skies of Telara spitting out the ruthless minions of the evil Blood Storm landscape changes around them transforming a peace of world in an outpost of the invading plane sprawling with vicious beasts and enemies. If left unattended this invasion spreads and can pose a solid threat to the “ordinary life” of an adventuring character by raiding towns occupying questing zones and so on. To keep their territory players have to fight. The dynamic world makes you game experience an unpredictable ever changing one cause there is no “already exploited” or “safe” spot in the world everywhere could become a battlefield. Expanding rifts may also meet each other with overlapping rifts seeing a ferocious clash between the invading forces in which players may participate or just stand watching the carnage (as long it is safe for them).

Another significant innovation the game is bringing up is tha “Ascended Class” system: player avatars incarnate the force and the powers of the ancient heroes of Telara. By choosing one “calling” from the four classic fantasy archetypes of Warrior Rogue Mage and Cleric we can customize our hero with skills and capabilities taken from up to three specialized professions (called “souls”) mixing their “soul” trees (i.e. skill trees similar to the ones we already saw in other games) in order to create most effective combinations or just the ones we feel nearest to our playing style.

Last but not least as far as we know it looks like system requirements to enjoy all these wonders won’t be unreachable and that the game client has reached a consistent degree of stability (which we know to be a really important factor by launch time in determining the future of a MMO).

I am giving just a “hype” evaluation cause I couldn’ try the actual content but basing on the amazingly promising look of this game I give a “9”. This is not “10” just because it looks like some diversifying contents which greatly increase in my opinion the immersion and longevity of a MMO (such as housing cooking fishing and so on) are not going to be present by now or have been lightly developed (maybe in the foresight of future updates) and i feel game could be perfectly completed by such things. Anyway I can’t wait to get myself in the world of Telara to have a fist-eye look of all this and get a clearer sight of this apparently awesome new game. Definitely the hottest game of the moment.

After leaving the station for the first time in my rookie ship I was overwhelmed by the complex universe created there. Now I am doing agent missions mining in 0.3 and crushing Guristas. EVE is awesome.

After about 3-weeks of dedicated training I realized one thing: No matter how much time you put into the game you are still required to wait 20+ days for a few of your skills to train up. Rating: I rated Splashfighters a 9 because although its fun and interesting it sometimes gets boring. When there are no events no updates or just no one on. because it was hard to play at first but later on it got fun. Sometimes gets boring when loosing too much to winning too much. But when new stuff come out I’m always looking forward to trying them out like accessories and styles. That’s mostly what is keeping my playing also the nice people you meet and some not so nice

The Massive update that just occurred not to long ago in Splashfighters changed many things.

Gameplay: The amount of players in a game has changed to 16 max and added guild battles. (Guild battles only go up to 4 vs 4). The 16 max is really laggy and slow but its fun and exhilarating. The guild battle has cool maps and shows which guild is better by the winner they fuse together your hp so that you can’t die until your either edged or lose all your hp. And also the winning side in the guild battle will win a prize randomly.

Maps: They also added new maps. Santa’s House and Super red nose. One is a house you can go inside and out the super red nose is a slay that is moving and having to fight on top of it. Some maps are also just covered in snow to have a Christmas look

Accessories: There are new accessories that they had just added. Cookie & Biscuit and Snowman suit Costume. Cookie & biscuit is 2 puppets that do amusing yet fun attacks that everyone would love to use. Snowman Suit Costume is fun because you can regain your mp by changing any item into snowballs and then pressing c to pick them up and you gain mp back. They are both decently priced and fun to use.

Styles: There are also new styles phalanx and mercenary. You can buy them single or in a Set. The set is the style and one accessory. For phalanx it’s Phalanx and Gunship. For mercenary it’s Mercenary and Silver Hand. Phalanx is strong but slow sort of like an android but more fighting moves. Mercenary is like a spy but has a more variety of attacks and good combos. A set example is Phalanx male with gunship the price is lower then it would be if you were going to buy them separately.

Quest: They have added some quests so that SplashFighters will
have more depth and aims for playing!

see how many times left before you can accomplish each quests.

ETC: There are bunch of new special stuff like Christmas Special Draw and santa’s treasure box. They give you Christmas accessories that do ice attacks. I never got any yet but it’s still fun trying to by exchanging gm into B. There are also emblems which you can receive by doing Mech temple Amped slaughter Amped mission(easy) Amped mission(hard). It depends on which mission you do to get different types of emblems. The more challenging ones give you Elite emblems like Amped missions. But others will give you Basic style emblems. There are also customizable bundle purchase. Starter?s Kit (499 B) & Advanced Kit (999 B) 1. This item would be placed in SHOP?s ?SPECIAL -> ETC?.

Gifting: You can now also gift people accessories items and clothes. But you cannot gift styles anything under special and skins.

Winning %: they now also show your winning percent. They calculate your wins and lost to show you what your percent is. They have overall percent Deathmatch percent and team deathmatch percent.

I think most people should play this game because it’s simple and something to get your mind off things when your stressed.
