Honestly it was one of my favorite games growing up as i met a lot of cool people from there.
Overall i am not sure if calling it a game is even fair it was more like virtual chat room. I do feel like the game was destined to die as it had no real gaming feature (aside from few arcade games) and it was just to chat with people but nowadays we just use discord for that. You could walk around and dress up your avatar. But that’s kind of all there was to it and once you collected enough clothes and set up your own house you did not have much to do anymore.
I played on Estonian server which as all the other servers eventually died.
I feel like one of the biggest mistakes was having the community divided between country servers. It would have been cool to also meet other people from other countries, you know different people to talk to.

3/5 for what it was.

Total War shogun was an amazing game. I mean, any of the total war games are amazing. I love the strategy involved, managing your empire and being able to fight land, sea and siege battles is top notch. I started off with rome total war and was hooked every since.

I read a study back in the day that said that games improve reaction time, problem solving skills and improve leadership qualities in kids. I remember towards the mid 2010-2020 range, they did a test where they put regular people, pilots and kids and teens on a flight simulator and the results were that the kids and teens performed just as well as the pilots; in some cases, even better. Games a have way to shape people in a positive way, thought modern perception is that games are for the unmotivated.

For me, my most anticipated game for 2022 is a Breath of the Wild sequel. Nintendo’s been killing these last couple of years with amazing games, from Animal Crossing: New Horizons to Metroid: Dread, and I think the trend will continue strongly.

DuckDuckGo is great as a search engine, but not so much as a browser. I personally prefer Brave as an alternative. The other apps seem kind of cool though, especially Adobe Lightroom for quick touch-ups on photos.

Looks like the days of RPGs is over. In my opinion, there aren’t really that many sandbox games to justify it being a “top genre” especially when compared with the hundreds of thousands of RPGs out there.

Social gaming events in my opinion are the best place, especially gaming clubs, because you can get an actual interaction and it’s less anonymous. Discord is also kind of a popular place.

I really enjoyed Metroid Dread, since it’s been more than a decade since there’s really been a “good” Metroid game. Definitely a game that deserved to be on the top spot.

I think Blizzard will just go downhill since they really haven’t had a good time with any of the events happening. Their last major success was Overwatch. But then there was Diablo Immortal which was heavily criticized, the Blitzchung eSports controvery in 2019, and then workplace scandal where some of their employees are quitting and working for other game companies. They’ve really had it rough.
